Chat + TV = Interactive TV
Posted by Mickaël Rémond on 08 Jun 2007Chat is becoming a necessary component for broadcast network to promote the idea of interactive TV. We are proud to lead the move with several fascinating projects. Sunday 10 and 17 june, we will be powering France 24 coverage of the French parliament election.
France 24 is a major international media. It is the first French international news channel to broadcast on a 24/7 basis.
You can join the event on next sundays, from 8pm to midnight (GMT+2) and participate to live debates on the French Parliament election results. And yes, of course, it is using the XMPP protocol ![]()
As a preview, here is the teaser posted by Mikiane, from France 24 on his blog:

This seems like a really good idea. Its kinda like a 2 way TV communication. This is clearly the future of nettv and alike.
