Ejabberd

Hi,

I begin with ejabberd and i need to make a web client based on AJAX and DOJO.
I want to know if it’s possible or not for a client to make get or post requests on ejabberd and that the ejabberd answer in JSON ?
I know that i need to write some ejabberd modules to do that but, is it possible to do such a thing?

Maybe i could use another solution but the problem is that the client could not parse easily XMPP. So i may use a servlet which communicate with the client (client-> servlet: post | servlet -> client:JSON) and which listen to the server, using SMACK api, but is it a good way?

Sorry for my poor english :-s , i hope you understand my problem and i thank you to tell me all ideas you could have on that topic.

Hallo Together,

I installed a new EjabberD server it working fine also the Ldap authentification works correctly, but i have to use User@servername as JID.
I wished to use User@windowsdomain or perfectly just the Username. I could’nt install the Jabber Application on all Domain Controllers.
Do anybodey know a client programm which need no @ in the username? (define the server in a extra field)
Or can I do anything in the Config-File?
or anything on the DNS?

Is this possible? Have anybody somthing like this running well?

Thanks in advance!

Any Message Delivery Failed Hook?

In case a client loses connection (abrupt disconnection), and another client sends a message to the disconnected one, changes are high that ejabberd will have it as “connected” still.
ejabberd will try to route the message, and it will fail at socket level.

After this event does ejabberd have a hook or something about this specific event? So the server may get aware of a lost message?

Regards,
Thiago

Hi Everyone,

I am starting with Ejabberd. I install ejabberd2.1.8 on MACOS X 10.0.4 .
Everything work well. But when I edit ejabberd.cfg to work with external authentication script then meet error:

- Config file:
%%{auth_method, internal}.
{auth_method, external}.
{extauth_program, “/tmp/my_auth.php”}.

- Error report: C(<0.6790.0>:extauth:146) : extauth script has exitted abruptly with reason ‘normal’
This error loop until the server stop.

I grant full permission to /tmp/my_auth.php and run with php command, not error.

Please help me!

Thanks & Regards,
Where is StateData#state.pres_t parameter from ejabber_c2s.erl set?

Hi,

I wrote a custom roster module that queries an internal rest service to return the roster instead of the internal database.

It all works fine however when I send the initial presence message that should get broadcast to all friends its only sent back to the user it is received from.

I have traced the problem to the StateData#state.pres_t parameter in ejabber_c2s.erl but I can’t for the life of me find where this parameter is or should be set.

What ami I missing?

Any help will be appreciated.
