Google XMPP blocking non-Google requests

Hi, I’ve just read https://www.fsf.org/blogs/sysadmin/google-backslides-on-federated-instant-messaging-on-purpose and accdg to FSF, Google are taking whitelist requests. Could talkr.IM get whitelisted too? Thanks ^^

Registration issues

When I fill out the registration form and submit, I get an error message “please retype the words correctly” next to the Verification title.

However, there is no verification code NOR any field to type verification verbiage. ?????

need password reset

I’m locked out of my account. The password was working fine until a few days ago, but today I’m unable to login (Not Authorized) for no apparent reason. Please reset my password using the email address on file. (username: dragon)

confirmation email never came

just tried to register an account on talkr.im, it says that confirmation email has been sent, but it never came. And yes, I did look through the junk mail. Any suggestions?

Title says it all.

If it *does* exist, can somebody brief me on how to properly construct the iq query to set things up manually? Running service discovery on talkr.im isn’t picking it up so far.

EDIT: I stand corrected. jn.talkr.im just appeared in my last service discovery call, but it’s offline.

talkr.im won’t work with my ip address and my jabber server.

For some reason, for the past 2 days, talkr.im has not worked on my specific IP, as well as not on my jabber server. Yet everyone around me is able to use it to access other chatrooms, all except for my own server’s chatroom. My IP is 98.206.11.174 and my jabber server is chat.mythicparadise.com. Please help, I do not know what to do.

ICQ transport stopped working about week ago

I just can’t connect to ICQ transport. It worked before but now it’s down.

I got this in XML console:

vCard becomes unavailable when user tries to set a large avatar

I’m not using talkr.im directly, but I often see how some of my friends try to set an avatar too large (700 kb for example) and their vCard becomes unavailable (when trying to see it it returns Service-unavailable).

I believe that when setting a vCard with such avatar, instead of accepting it, there should be a sensible error given, and vCard left intact.

I think Yahoo gateway/protocol is down.

I couldn’t get connected to yahoo due to the following error:
Yahoo : Unknown Authentication Error

When i tried to re-register yahoo in Service discovery, I get “Registration Failed”, 405: Not Allowed
Btw i can login to yahoo from yahoo messenger and other IM service providers. Please look into this matter, Thank you.

[solved]Forgot my password

Hi everybody.
I created a Talkr.IM account on the end of July. It worked nice, but since then I installed another system on my computer and forgot my Talkr password, so I cannot connect anymore and use my account.
I registered with the same email address as my forum one. I do not know how to retrieve or reset my password. How can I solve this problem?

Edit: my password was reset, now I can connect again.
