Cannot login to Jabber server with simple login

Hi,

We have setup an OpenFire server, and we have setup very simple users. The problem is that OneTeam requires user names to be of the form <username>@<domain>. Our users typically just use <username>, and our users are setup that way. OneTeam does not allow us to login using just a simple <username>. We have not had any problems with PC based clients. We are trying to offer our users an alternative interface to communicate. Is there a way to work around that? This is basically a show stopper for us to purchase any additional OneTeam clients.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

OneTeam FireFox Plug-in (Feature Request)

I know i may sound noobish, but I was clueless of login details for your service/plugin. Why? because i didnt know the format of login-in. “YourID@Server.Com” in the username would have been useful for new users like me to understand this. Sorry if i’m complaining. but a simple text by default would solve the mystery for new users. Thank you

“Invalid response from server.”

By emblemparade:

    Hi moderator,

I’m trying to post this innocent message in the forum, but the forum software insists I am spamming and won’t post it. Can you post it for me?

    —-

Try as I might, I cannot get this to work. I always get “Invalid response from server.”

    Things I’ve tried:

    1. name at mydomain dot com using host: process-one.net.
    2. name at mydomain dot com using host: talk.google.com.
    3. name at mydomain dot com using host: mydomain.com.
    4. name using host: talk.google.com.

    Others notes:

    1. I can login just fine with a gmail.com account.
    2. We have all the SRV records set correctly for mydomain.com.
    3. I have even tried today’s git build! Same results.

    Any help would be appreciated.

MSI installer?

Hi,

Is it possible to have an MSI installer? It would be very beneficial for group policy deployment.

Thanks

display of contact names

I realize that one of the prominent features of the OneTeam client is the ability to display a photo for contacts, but I’d rather not use this.

If I do not add a photo to my contacts, the OneTeam client attempts to display the contact’s name instead. This doesn’t work very well, since the names are often larger than the contact icon, resulting in compressed and overlapping text.

Is there a way to configure the client to list the contacts in some manner that can be read (like one contact per line), instead of using the photo/icon feature?

Thanks for any help offered.

Hello,

I know this is a free application and I do not want to be ungrateful, but you are just kidding with this, right? Why instead of making this ... this monster ... can`t you take some part from Adium IM or cooperate with them to create the best XMPP/Jabber client for Mac. This thing is really horrible and absolutely out of design recommendations from Apple.

Beta1 failing to follow SRV properly

This had worked fine in Alpha3 I think. However, I’m no longer able to log into my ejabberd server with Beta1/OSX though. The case is as follows:

* I’m running my own instance of ejabberd with several virtualhosts defined.
* The hostname for my (main) JID base domain points to a IP external to ejabberd (different server)
* I have my SRV set up properly (has worked with Psi/Swift and even mobile OneTeam for years)

1) When I specify my full JID as ‘Username’ in the connection form, SRV lookup is not performed at all (it seems) and instead, an A lookup is done on the host part, and connection is attempted there (useless of course).
2) When I specify the correct hostname in the OneTeam preferences, and use just the ‘username’ part in the connection form, the correct server is resolved and connected, but the final JID assembled for authentication purposes is wrong (username@host, rather than username@virtualhost).
3) When I specify a full JID for connection, and a correct server hostname in Preferences, the host name in Preferences is ignored and path #1 is followed again.

Sounds like SRV is not working at all in Beta1, or is not being triggered properly. Should I file a ticket for this?

I have installed the OneTeam for Gtalk app on my iPhone.
Though it worked great last week, I am now unable to connect and have the following message: OT GTalk could not establish a connection to the OT GTalk Server…

I am connected from my home wifi and all other apps work correctly.

Also, never could never log in using my iPad…

Can anyone help?

PS: my OneTeam for Gtalk works while using 3G Networks…

Are there any plans to include these features in future versions of the OneTeam IM client?

My employer is looking to move away from Spark IM (http://www.igniterealtime.org/projects/spark/index.jsp), and we currently use these two features alot.

Thanks.
