Hi.

Is there any active developement around the oneteam client at the moment ?

Actually there is a bug in the configuration dialog (with firefox 2.0.0.11 on Linux, not tested on other OS). The OK button is never clickable.

The oneteam client doesn’t look right with firefox 3 (on Mac OS, not tsted on other OS).

Greetings.

Disconnected clients

Hi!

We use ejabberd for our application. It has IM option.
We open a discussion between two users. One of them disconnect due to network problems. The other one continue to send messages like nothing happened. When the former user reconnect, he doesn’t recieve the messages that were sent to him when he was disconnect.

I wonder if the server knew that the client was disconnected, or thought the client was still connected because it didn’t recieve any disconnect notification.

How the server knows if the client is still connected?

thanks for your help….

For those who have tested OneTeam already, what would be your favorite feature that you would like to see added soon ?

What would be missing to make OneTeam your primary IM client ?

Thank you for your suggestions !

chat applications

hi, i am developing a chat application for a certain web shop and i am in the starting point. The project is under customer driven project, so i asked by the supervisor to submit SRS (Software Requirements Specification) . My problem is i have to make a custom SRS document for project. The given example document is too generic and is not related to chat application. I couldn’t find a example related to instance messaging/chat services. Can some one help or give a sample SRS.

Seamonkey/netscape support

SeaMonkey seems to load the messenger fine so you guys have decent seamonkey internet suit support (which is true considering SeaMonkey is the community supported continuation of Mozilla Internet Suit which is what the Firefox browser is based on)
and Netscape support is no problem because Mozilla has its roots in Netscape and the current Netscape is in turn based off Firefox
so you should be able to render xul in SeaMonkey/Mozilla and Netscape just fine though I haven’t tested Netscape so I don’t know (the most current Netscape on this site anyway)

A Few Bugs

One large one for me is that I cannot edit any of the information when trying to “Edit Profiles..“. It opens up to the window, however I can not change anything in there, I can’t even get the insertion point into any box there.

Also, only when I open it in a new window, the menubar at the top acts a little funny. If I first go to ‘OneTeam” then mouseover Config and go down that menu, the OneTeam one pops up again.

MSN Gateway

While experimenting MSN gateway, I received roughly 160 messages for subscription requests.
This is too much!
By the way, when you send a subscription, the following window allowing to add the contact to your roster has to be resized.

Regards,

OneTeam progress update before open beta on may 4th, 2007

For those who are not participating to the beta test, here is an update.

Most of the changes focus in two areas:

- Much improved groupchat support: We have gone further in this domain that
we first expected. We now support avatar in groupchat. We support chatroom
configuration and administration directly from OneTeam. It means that you
can create and manage your own chat room directly on the platform. You can
even create a private chatroom and invite your coworkers to join. The chat
room configuration tools can be accessed by right clicking on the chat room
name on the conference tab.

- Server-side history. Yes, your chat history can now be stored on the
server and you can access it from everywhere. OneTeam is now a true
server-side, stateless rich mobile client.

We have also fixed many bugs and are providing a better and more polished
interface. The chat window now includes your contact avatar, for example.

More to come soon, before the open beta that will launch on may 4th, 2007.

Cheers,
