I have installed jabber on my SME Server 7.2. I downloaded and installed it from the contribs.org site. Everything seems to be loaded correctly. I have the jabber admin in the control panel of my SME box (admin-->turning it on-off, who can register, etc). When I try to connect to it with a client (Pidgin) it keeps giving me the error “Could not establish connection with the server: Error resolving mydomain.com: Name or service not known”. Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong here? I really need to get this up and running.

You are posting in a forum related to CEAN (Comprehensive Erlang Archive Network), that’s why I will lock the topic.
You do not say which flavor of XMPP server you are using.
To me it sounds like a client side network configuration problem (you can resolve to the name of your domain).
I am locking the topic as it is not relevant there, anyway.
