I’ve been trying to make this work for a couple of weeks, but not to avail.

I’ve tried several times to eliminate the .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) user, signing out from tweet.im and following both the home page procedure and the ones in this forum; but nothing happens.

What can I try next?

Try going to your GMail, to Contacts in left menu, then Suggested Contacts tab and look for that contact there and eliminate it, then reconnect to your GTalk in your IM, it ‘should’ be gone.

I’ve done that and now it’s gone. I’ve tried to reregister on tweet.im then accepted the friend request in gtalk but it’s still in ‘Invite’ state and I can’t send or receive twitts.

Anything else?

I will check if there is connection problem today with GTalk.
We will also deploy a new version of the software tonight.

Craig, Kynes,

A new code has been deployed. Could you check if this solve your problem with Gtalk ?

No luck.

I’ve deleted .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) from Contacts in gMail, signed out from tweet.im and reregistered.
The request to add the contact shows up, but when I accept it, it’s still in Invite state.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hello Kynes,

We cannot reproduce the problem from our side.
If you validate the request contact and still see it in invite state, it is either a problem with your client or GTalk.
Tweet.IM does not do anything special after invite. That’s your client and server that does the job.

Not sure how we can help then, as we cannot reproduce your problem.

I was validating the request from gMail, I’ve tried the official client with the same results.

Is there something to do on the twitter.com side?

Kynes,

I just had another idea regarding your problem that we need to test (regarding case sensitivity).
I will keep you informed.

Thanks for the great service!  This is exactly what I want.

I filled out the sign-up form, and accepted the invitation.  I could post my tweets just fine but wasn’t getting any tweets and got the following every 5 minutes:

[Twitter Error] Cannot retrieve messages: Twitter replied with error Bad Request (400).

I’ll probably start a different thread about that, I’m replying to this thread for what happened since then.

I tried removing the contact from my contact list and using the signout form and then re-signing up multiple times since then but the contact always shows up as offline and now I can’t even post tweets.  I tried adding “twitter.twee.im” as a contact as a workaround, but to no avail.

Can anyone help?  Thanks!

[Twitter Error] Cannot retrieve messages: Twitter replied with error Bad Request (400).

This is a pure Twitter error: It means that the API was not available to reply.
You should not have remove your contact because it was working correctly from our end.
