Direct messages are supported in Tweet.im. They comes as .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and replying to the contact create a direct message.
We feel this is the more user friendly behaviour.
Please make sure that your client can accept messages from people to in your roster to be able to receive direct messages.
It works. I can also add a few .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to my roster. Although they appear offline, I can send them messages as if they are just a JID.
Can we know how real-time are those direct messages pushed to our XMPP clients? Once I got a direct message, it doesn’t look like they are pushed to me instantaneously. What’s the expected latency?
