Hi,

I have a premium account on google apps that enable me to use a domain for each google application.
mail.mydomain.com, ...
When i try to use my google premium account i have the following error : ERROR! Remote XMPP server (mydomain.com) unavailable

The chat is activate on the google apps part and work with other applications.
Is there a way to use it with tweet.im ?

I tried with jabber and google talk types.

Many thanks for this app,

regards,

Samuel

Hello,

As said in another thread, the fix for Google Talk that use custom domain is currently being prepared.

Hello Samuel,

We think that the workaround now works for GoogleApps domains.

Could you retry registering on Tweet.IM and confirm this, please ?

Works ok for me (google apps for my domain, free account) but the avatars don’t show up (but this should be another bug/problem)

Avatar rendering is a client side issue. The client has to render XHTML and images in the chat area.

@samuel: Also, in case you still can’t get it working, make sure you set correctly the SRV record in your domain DNS management. Google Apps FAQ: http://www.google.com/support/a/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=34143

Thanks for your support and sorry for this late reply.
This does work now with marek’s solution (SRV record).
Just for information i had to wait a little bit after the modification of the dns (propagation).
Many thanks

Samuel
