Same problem with adium, and the output is horrible. It will prevent me to use the service at all (and I won’t change my xmpp client just for twitter, the whole purpose is to not have a dedicated twitter client).
is there a possibility to show avatars in another way, or at least a preference to not show the avatars ?
well, the “broken image” box+icon is disturbing, but the screenshot from Marek Foss is ideal. I have a different width for my window. The broken box isn’t taking all the width of the window, so the real tweet is begining at the middle of the line, then continue at the begining of the next line. It is hardly readable.
I guess the biggest problem (at least for me) is the rendering within the Growl-popup of Adium. The code for the avatar (which isn’t converted into an avatar) make the popup basically unusable. How many XMPP-supporting clients are out there, that don’t really support HTML-IM?
