hi, for the last couple of days my contact has been offline, but still sends me my followees tweets.  if i send a message to the offline contact nothing happens and my timeline is not updated.

any ideas what’s going on?

I have experienced that in the beginning of the service. Have you tried to reconnect the IM account with the tweet.IM contact? What network are you using - GMail or Jabber?

If nothing else helps, sing out from tweet.IM using the form from the FAQ (https://www.tweet.im/content/signout/), remove the tweet.IM contact from your roster, reconnect your IM account, and then register with tweet.IM again. If the problem persists, let us know.

I just had this happen today. I have tried on two different clients reconnecting to gtalk and both my contacts are still offline. Will try logout and re-register to see if it helps. Should these contacts basically always be online?

Yes, it should be always online (if twitter API is up).

I just had it happen now that both contacts were online but had been quiet for too long. I posted tweets to both but no “[OK]” (or any other) reply. So I relogged both (gtalk) logins and got a flood of tweets. My posts didn’t, so I reposted then and they worked. Something seems to be stalling.

hmm this morning it’s online again..  i’ll leave it for the moment and see how it goes.
