Hi,
it’s been a couple of days when I send my tweets, it ends in my Direct Messages on Twitter instead of in my timeline.
I tried to re-register but problem remains.

Any suggestions for reason and help with this?

This is odd. I just tried to post from Adium + Gmail and it worked for me, so we need more details to try and reproduce your problem. Is Guris your name on Twitter? Do you have protected updates? Also, what is the contact name to which you post messages? Thanks.

Guris is my Twitter name and my updates ARE protected. They were protected before and it worked.
Contact name in ma contact list is ‘guris@twitter.tweet.im’.

I am having a similar problem. Every time I tweet it just sends the text I write to me (even the @name part) to myself as a DM. My twitter username is LeonardChallis, gmail is gisterogue [at] gmail + com - When I type it it doesn’t give me the [OK] message either.

Whether it makes a difference or not I don’t know, but I am using Bitlbee in IRSSI to connect to GTalk. Also (possibly) unrelated is that it will quite often go offline, and/or stop sending me my tweets.

Any more info needed just ask, thanks in advance.

As I understand when you send a message it is sent back to you as an error message, right?

Not really…it’s not published as tweet but I can find it in ‘Direct Messages’
Nothing is sent back.

I am having exactly the same problem for a few days now, since last week.
Does anyone know what the solution to this is?

FYI this is still happening. Anything I send to the twitter bot will be sent (from me) to me as a DM. Any news?

Hum, might be a problem with IRSSI. Does it happen with other clients ?

Afraid not - just tried it on GMail’s chat and it does exactly the same thing :(

That is odd because I just have used GMail to successfully send updates to my twitter account. Have you tried signing out using the online from and signing in again ? https://www.tweet.im/content/signout/

Yeah, just tried it, readded it, and still the same problem. Anything I type sends me a DM from me to me (LeonardChallis)

To which contact are you sending the message ?
