With the update, my problems seem to have gone away.  I can no log on and get a roster update without it crashing.  Group Chats seem to work just fine as well, but I haven’t used it a lot so I’ll keep an eye on it.

Hi!
I´ve just installed 3.1.1 but when I join a crowded group chat it crashes. And the background service does not exist at all?

The crash you add on Groupchat will be fixed in 3.2.0.

Thank you for your report !

I know that a application can not run in the background on the iPhone, I thought that It would use Apple background-notification system like QuickSilver or AIM.

I do not see what you mean. What do you call Apple background-notification system on iphone ?
I would say push and we support it, but for obvious reason it requires server support like I mentioned.

Update: I have tried uninstalling 3.1.0 and re-installing 3.1.0 without any benefit.

Update: If I switch my status to Offline before it crashes then the application will stay open. As soon as I move to another state (Away/Busy) the app crashes the same as noted above… ‘Unknown Error’

Did you try on 3.1.1 ?

Mickaël, I wish I could give you access to an account, but I do not have that ability. I will check with one of the program managers here on my side to see if there is any feasible way to get you an account. I can try and get some packet captures, but I will not be able to decode the TLS.

Hello Magnus,

We cannot reproduce the problem but I think it might be related to the parameter that are not correct (using not fully qualified server name on 3G network for example).
We will make some test about this.

I tried reproducing your problem in every possible way but did not have any crash or problem.
It might be related to what your server send.
Something that might help is information on your server.

Could you send us an XML dump of your session made from another client (like Psi for example).

Thank you !
