Hello,

We have added several changes to Tweet.IM.
You now gets notification when someone follow you or unfollow you and you can follow or unfollow people directly with commands (f and u).

The next update (today) will bring presence status based delivery.

Twitter transport sends update tweets according to the following rules:

1. direct messages: always;
2. timeline messages: when ‘show’ is undefined (meaning available) or a type of “chat”;
3. mentions: when ‘show’ is not a type of “dnd”;
4. followers notifications: when ‘show’ is not a type of “dnd”;
5. search: when show is a type of undefined (meaning available) or of type “chat” (the “search” action is currently being implemented).

As you see, we are improving the service and more upgrade are schedule:

1. Search (track) support
2. Configurable rules for status notifications
3. Laconica and Identica support
4. OAuth support

We are listening. Please let us know if you have other features requests and ...
Spread the word !

Hello,

What does it exactly mean?
Since upgrade I haven’t got any tweets via xmpp. It was even very easy to find missed tweets on timeline because the last I’ve received was the one before your tweet about upgrade. :)
I’m still able to post my tweets and receive DM flawless.

Unregistering and registering back to the service didn’t resolve the problem.

Thanks.

Hello,

What is your status ?
Are you away, available, in do not disturb mode ?

I’m available.
After logging in the only message I’m receiving from ‘twitter.tweet.im’ is presence:

<presence from='twitter.tweet.im' to='buttie@jabbim.pl/work'/>

Let us check. Maybe you use a client that put the deprecated show type = ‘available’ in your presence packet.

Ok, it’s definitely client issue. Even both clients I’m using: WTW on Win and Tlen on Linux.
Original jabbim client works fine. I’ve switched on gtalk and it worked also.

Now a question. How presence packet sholud be send to work properly with tweet.im? I’ll pass that info to authors of those clients.
I can also send you via PM all msgs I have in console after logging in.

Presence with type for show ‘available’ does not exist anymore in XMPP. It was the previous Jabber protocol. Having no show tag is enough.

However, we deployed a version that should work with legacy client.

Please, let us know if this works for you.

We fixed the presence based delivery. The filter was not really active for the timeline.
Please, let us know if everything still works fine for you.

Delivering latest tweets works fine, but there’s a problem with delivering tweets older than first page of timeline (hope you know what I mean :) ). The same problem have jabbim twitter transport, so I think it is twitter issue.

We limit to the 20 latest tweets. It can be annoying to receive 200 tweets when you connect (especially since you can connect from a mobile).

Ok, I understand that, it could be very annoying on mobile devices. For me 30 tweets limit would be better, but I got your point.
Regards.

I’ll try using it and see if it works. Great job.
