OneTeam private alpha: first round of feedback

Dear OneTeam private alpha users,

Now it is the time for our first round of feedback - please write what you think of OneTeam as a comment to this post.

Please let’s talk about these things regarding technical issues:
* does OneTeam address your productivity requirements?
* is it a productive tool?
* does it suits all your features needs?

In a second round of feedback in few days, we will focus more on user experience.

It maybe needless to say that since it is still an alpha quality software, we are also keen on receiving your bug reports:
* what is the buggy behaviour
* what are the steps to reproduce
* what was the expected results
* and of course what version you use, on what platform

For the record, we have been happy to successfully test a OneTeam voice call, over a BOSH connection over 3G! ;-)

Of course, if you want to contribute, we will be happy to release the source code as well.

Problem with utf8 JID ?

I have a JID with utf8 characters (grégoire@zjyto.net) and One Team alpha doesn’t work with it…
I can log-in (no error displayed) but I don’t get my roster…
I get the screen shown in the image bellow…

I tested another JID on the same server (ascii only JID) and It seems to work.

(I tried the standalone alpha version on mac os x)

The windows client won’t install on my win 7 x64 laptop.

I get this error :

Error opening file for writing :
C:\Program Files (x86)\OneTeam\application.ini

If I choose to ignore this error, I get an error for each file (default.ico, OneTeam.exe, ...)
The directories are not created neither. I think this is the source of the problem.

I have installed several other apps, so this should not be a permission issue.

Some bugs:
- problem with Jingle behind a firewall
- calling button disappear sometimes, even between two OneTeam
- problem when change priority: can’t send message after make priority higher
- CTRL + TAB to change tabs doesn’t work (put “/me” in the textbox)
- with the contact “presence.jabberfr.org”, somes problems: avatar is not shown (not text like others contacts without avatar), and problem in filtering
- when speak to somebody from one MUC, the textbox go to the new line when press “enter”, and the button for sending doesn’t work

EDIT: under Ubuntu 9.10, with standalone app’

Seems to work correctly for me ( extension on firefox ubuntu 9.10 )

i want to found a good tuto on how to interconnect jabber and asterisk pbx ...

Hi, thanks very much for all this feedback. We will be working on most of these for the next delivery.

Any other comment on the technical side of OneTeam?

Can you please describe your network, as well as the one of your contact? Can you please also describe the beaviour of OneTeam? (No call button? Calls initiated but never seen onthe other side?)

Can you please help us reproduce by finding out when this happens?

The problem with jingle still working on another networks without firewall. The call begin, and when the contact accept the call, it show “connecting” a few seconds and then “call ended (connection error)”.

@Thomas: we may not have covered all the cases. We will work on that.

@Sylvain: we have not reproduced your install problem, have you updated to alpha2?
