I need help getting onto NWS chat group chat on the iPhone app. I have tried just about everything I know but apparently not the right thing.

I am not sure what you are asking? They are government chat rooms. I just need to know what seetings to put where.

I do not have the parameter for those chatroom, because, as you seem to imply, I have no way to connect to it (they are not public).
You should ask the chatroom parameters to the admin of the private service.

It is Jabber based. What options do I need to select when I click on group chat?

Click on ‘+’ to add / join a chatroom.
