I tried on OS X, but no elisp directoy (and its content) got created.

could you supply some more information about what goes wrong?
i have tested (on os-x) and it worked for me. the test was done with the new cean.erl i wrote for the erl_interface problem.

there is no error message, just no elisp folder in $HOME/cean/erlang/lib/distel-2007.0302
you are correct and i am wrong. the distel directory is there, but the elisp diectory is not there. presumably it is not in the distel archive. i will ask christophe about this.
