I’m not able to configure the software. The following error is: Invalid response from server. I need help. Please answer me.

It depends on the XMPP/Jabber address you are using: it is in the form .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
Username: myuser
Password: <your password>
Config > Preferences…
Host: mydomain.com

Then, it is: Actions > Service Discovery, select MSN and click Register. It will ask you your MSN address and password.

What server are you using? I guess it has no MSN transport…
Or else try an open MSN transport elsewhere: http://www.jabberes.org/servers/

No, for transports/gateways, you don’t need ports.
First connect to your server. Is that OK?
Then do a Service Discovery on alpha-labs.net, then select MSN, and finally click Register.
