I am using OpenFire 3.7.0 which claims to support XMPP PubSub but the OneTeam application still claims that the XMPP server does not support “push” messaging.  If PubSub is not considered to be push support, then what XMPP specification must be implemented for OneTeam push support?

OneTeam does support the Apple’s Push Notification System.

OneTeam also support XMPP’s PubSub.

Although Apple’s Push Notification System relies on XMPP’s PubSub standard, it is totally dedicated to the iOS environements. Which means that your XMPP server and client should support APNS in order to receive Apple’s Push Notifications.
