Stuck on “Connecting…”

Hello, I currently use Pidgin at my workplace and want to use this on my iPhone.  Pidgin is XMPP.  So I’ve set it up and tried to connect… but it’s stuck on “Connecting…”.  Why would that happen? 

For my jabber-ID I use the e-mail address information, just like I do with Pidgin.  I have the correct passcode as well.  Ports are the same.  Server appears to be accurate (it’s the extension of the e-mail address). 

I do have a data connection.  Other apps that require a network connection work fine.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

It seems like a description of a bug we have just fixed. The new version is submitted to the AppStore, but still not online.

Or else, you can go to Settings, then Debug options, then send these logs by email to contact at process dash one dot net (type in the real email address).

Hi, thank you for responding.  I just sent the log to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) (with the dash between process and one)

Is that the correct e-mail address?  When do you expect the updated app to come out?

Yes, correct email address.

We have submitted it on Saturday 7th. I don’t know the current AppStore delay for apps updates, I guess it’s “a few days”, although it’s a frustrating answer also for us ;-)

I had to tweek my server IP address and it worked.  Not sure if it would have worked pre-patch or not.  Did it work for you?  I receive support via e-mail, they were fairly easy to work with.

The patch fixed it, so thanks guys!

I’m starting testing with OneTeam with some service technicians this week, so having that fixed is very helpful!

I have just purchased gtalk for iPad and I also have this issue. Just sits on “connecting” and nothing happens?
