Pidgin configuration problem

I can’t seem to get my new account working in Pidgin. I keep getting a “Not Authorized” error, using the following settings:

* Username: tuggyne (also tried adding ‘@talkr.im’ at the end, just in case)
* Domain: talkr.im
* Resource: main (also tried ‘’ and ‘/’)
* Connection security: Use encryption if available
* Connect port: 5222
* Connect server: talkr.im (also tried ‘’)
* File transfer proxies: proxy.eu.jabber.org

I don’t use any Internet proxy. Using Pidgin 2.7.11.

Really appreciate any pointers on what I might be missing!

You can keep the resource to a non-empty and alpha-numeric characters if you are not sure: “main” is completely OK.

I believe these data are OK too.
* Username: tuggyne
* Domain: talkr.im
* Connect port: 5222
* Connect server: talkr.im

You can omit the proxy configuration for this step, and come back to it later.

In our server logs, we have failed authentications for this user: have you double checked your password?

Odd, I really thought I had replied to this :(

Anyway, yeah, I’ve gotten authentication to work, and thanks for the pointer. ;)
