My norton virus is out of date and yesterday i received 7 viruses most are high level viruses.. I’ve tried to go to add and remove programs but for some reason my computer wont allow me to acces it.. Does anyone know how i can get into it? Also when i tried another way to delete my norton virus it wouldn’t let me do it either… so please please can anyone help me?

DON’T remove Norton at the moment!!!

Viruses often block the installation of security software such as antivirus programs. Unless your Norton is years out of date, it provides you with more protection than you will have if you take it off and can’t put a new one on. Deal with the virus problem FIRST and when your computer is clean, then you can get that Norton off and replace it.

Also, it’s not certain that Norton being out of date was the cause of the problem - there are many tricks that virus makers use to get past security software and it could be that something new managed to slip past Norton and make it less effective.

Interesting, but I’m quite sure you two guys will get more help and exchanges in Norton forums.

I agree with petmeadow and Nicolas.  Do not delete it for now; you might regret doing so in the future.  What’s more, you should look into Norton forums and search for the answer that you’re looking for.
