New ejabberd Windows installer
Posted by Process-one on 2007-01-26 at 11:28 PMA new ejabberd installer for Windows has been released, increasing out of the box ease of use.
This new installer fixes an Erlang/Windows bug, that did prevent ejabberd to work on some Windows XP/2003 platform. With this version, all Erlang networking problem have been solved.
ejabberd is now installed as a service. From the Windows Service administration screen you can start or stop ejabberd, but also ask for automatic startup at boot.
A shortcut has also been added to open a text ejabberd console (command-line) to perform diagnostic and advanced administrative tasks.
The installer is available from ejabberd download page, but you can download it directly from: ejabberd-1.1.2_2-windows-installer.exe.
