Hi!

I am using my domain with Hosted.im service. I created this DNS SRV records for MUC service:

_xmpp-server._tcp.conference.4zal.net86400 IN    SRV 20 0 5269 xmpp2.hosted.im.
_xmpp-server._tcp.conference.4zal.net86400 IN    SRV 10 0 5269 xmpp1.hosted.im

Everything works when I use XMPP account from my domain - I can create MUC room oraz connect to existing one - but when I use account from other servers I get 403 error:

Pastebin.com (spam filter is blocking my XML code)

Is it possible to connect to my domain’s MUC using accounts that are not in my domain? What am I doing wrong? I use Psi as a XMPP client.

Thank you for any help you can provide in this situation!

Hello Karol,

actually the error you are receiving is accurate: access to MUC rooms is denied (from other domains) by hosted.IM policy. We have seen abuse on MUC rooms hosted on our service and accessed from other XMPP domains outside of our service. We changed the policy in this subject by restricting MUC access to hosted.IM users for the Starter plan.

Regards,

Juan Pablo

Thanks for fast response! I was worried that I made mistake somewhere. Now it sounds reasonable.
